The right equipment for maximum comfort

HOW TO MAKE YOUR KITCHEN ERGONOMIC

Even if you can easily forget it in the midst of so much cosiness: Kitchens are functional rooms. Behind the attractive surfaces, they offer a high degree of comfort that can be flexibly adapted to your individual needs. Cooking should be enjoyable and easy. Good planning is therefore not only chic and cosy, but also ergonomic. Comfortable working heights and clearly structured storage space are important ingredients. Nolte Küchen offers you countless planning options.

Working height

Adjust the working height to your height - not the other way round! The rule of thumb: when the elbow is bent, the distance between the forearm and the worktop should be 15 centimetres. By combining the base unit, plinth and worktop, you can achieve the right height for you.

Matrix 900

Our standard base cabinet for the average working height measures 75 centimetres. Do you want a little more? Then opt for Matrix 900, our 90-centimetre-high cupboard and you get 20 per cent more storage space and a modern, flush-floor look if you combine it with the low plinth.

High mounted appliances

Why is working height so important? Well, because if you stand relaxed and upright, it protects your back. Therefore, it is better to install appliances such as ovens or dishwashers in a higher position. By the way: With our "Matrix150" dimensional grid, standard-height appliances fit perfectly without any disturbing panels - for harmonious kitchens with homogeneous lines.

Practical lift column

A food processor is practical. However, it takes up precious worktop space. What’s more, do you want to carry the heavy appliance around all the time? Of course you don't. Our lifting column with integrated power socket is the solution. At the push of a button, it pulls the appliance out of the cabinet ready for use on the pull-out tray. The space at the top can be used for your spice pots, for example.

Drawers and pull-outs

Whether behind a continuous front or with visible subdivisions: drawers and pull-outs with a well thought-out interior organisation are ideal for all those who want to keep their kitchen utensils neat and tidy. Here, everything has its place and is within easy reach, without having to move other items out of the way first in order to reach the desired utensils. A clear advantage over hinged doors and shelves.

Corner solutions

In corners, it is particularly annoying to have to reach into the cupboard to get something out. Fortunately, with modern interior fittings this is no longer necessary. The LeMans, for example, is rotatable, giving you easy access to pots and pans on the adjustable shelves. In this way, you make the best possible use of the available space.

Pharmacy units

With the pharmacy units, you can always keep an eye on your supplies. The entire contents of the cupboard can be pulled out and everything is neat and tidy - all you have to do is reach for it! And a trip to the pantry will be a thing of the past.

Short distances

Speaking of distances! For the ergonomics, distances also play an important role. How to arrange the different areas so that working is easy depends not only on the form of the kitchen, but also on the respective conditions. For this reason, we have dedicated a separate article to the subject with even more tips and tricks!
