Berry Mango Lassi

The lassi is a typical Indian yogurt drink. With berries and mangoes, this lassi tastes refreshingly fruity and is super quick to prepare!

Recipe idea: Berry Mango LassiYou will need the following ingredients:

160 g mixed berries (alternatively frozen berries), 3 tbsp sugar (alternatively honey), 2 mangos (approx. 500 g), 2 green cardamom pods, vanilla powder, 200 g yoghurt, 8 ice cubes

Preparation

Test EN

  1. Pick through fresh berries, rinse and clean if necessary. Place in a tall mixing container with ½ tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp water, and blend finely with an immersion blender. If needed, pass the puree through a sieve to remove any seeds.
  2. Peel the mangoes and roughly dice them. Press open the cardamom pods, remove the black seeds and finely grind them in a mortar. Place both into the blender with some vanilla, yogurt, remaining sugar, 150 ml ice-cold water, and ice cubes, and blend everything on the highest setting until smooth.
  3. Pour mango lassi into glasses and slowly pour the berry puree into the center. Then gently stir with a fork (do not fully mix!) to create a marbled effect, running the back of the fork along the glass edge. Serve with drinking straws if desired.
