Yeast Dough Recipe Easter Bunny

The belief that the Easter bunny brings the Easter eggs is not very old, as it has only existed since the 19th century. Before that, depending on belief, other animals such as the cuckoo, the stork, or the fox hid the Easter eggs.

 

Let your creativity run free this Easter with our yeast dough recipe. However, we recommend a bunny shape.

Recipe idea: Yeast dough recipe Easter bunnyFor this you will need the following ingredients:

500 g wheat flour, 250 ml milk, 1/2 cube yeast or 1 packet dry yeast, 50 g sugar, 2 eggs, 75 g soft butter or margarine, 1 tsp salt, 1 egg for brushing, raisins for decoration

Preparation

  1. Warm the milk (do not boil) and dissolve the yeast and half of the sugar in it.
  2. Then add the other half of the sugar, the butter, and the two eggs and mix everything briefly.
  3. Now add the flour and salt and knead everything thoroughly with a hand mixer (dough hooks) for 4 min.
  4. Then cover the yeast dough, place it in a warm spot and let it rest until it approximately doubles in size.
  5. Now take the yeast dough out of the container and knead it once again. Then divide the dough into small portions and shape the bunnies.
  6. Bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

P.S. With this yeast dough, there are no limits to your creativity. For example, you could also form Easter nests or Easter lambs. We're excited to see!

Note: The bunnies will rise significantly, so leave some space between them.
