- Warm the milk (do not boil) and dissolve the yeast and half of the sugar in it.
- Then add the other half of the sugar, the butter, and the two eggs and mix everything briefly.
- Now add the flour and salt and knead everything thoroughly with a hand mixer (dough hooks) for 4 min.
- Then cover the yeast dough, place it in a warm spot and let it rest until it approximately doubles in size.
- Now take the yeast dough out of the container and knead it once again. Then divide the dough into small portions and shape the bunnies.
- Bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
P.S. With this yeast dough, there are no limits to your creativity. For example, you could also form Easter nests or Easter lambs. We're excited to see!
Note: The bunnies will rise significantly, so leave some space between them.
