Dekokrams Foodboard Instructions

The decorative food board is a captivating DIY project made from simple materials such as a wooden board, clothes pegs, popsicle sticks, and more. This handcrafted piece charmingly combines organization with aesthetics, providing an ideal way to enhance your kitchen or dining area. Follow this guide to create your own practical yet appealing food board decoration.

Material

  • 1 wooden board (approx. 30 × 30 cm)
  • 7 clothes pegs
  • 1 wide clothes peg
  • approx. 50 ice cream sticks
  • 8 drawing pins
  • approx. 70 cm elastic band
  • approx. 40 pcs. note sheets
  • 1 holder
  • 1 ballpoint pen
  • 1 adhesive letters 'MENU'

  • Scissors
  • Hammer
  • Wood glue
  • Set square
  • Pencil
  • Fineliner
  • Cordless drill

Craft instructions

1. Stick the lettering "MENU" at the top center onto the board.
2. Label the seven clothes pegs with the weekdays and glue them left-aligned onto the board using the wood glue.
3. Use the set square to measure the spacing for the drawing pins and mark with a pencil.
4. Hammer the drawing pins into the wood: two for the pen underneath the clothes pegs at a distance of approx. 3 cm, so that the pen can be inserted horizontally. Six pins for storage to the right of the clothes pegs at a distance of approx. 7 cm.
5. Cut the elastic band (approx. 60 cm for popsicle stick storage, approx. 10 cm for the pen holder), stretch between the drawing pins, and secure with a knot.
6. Use the wood glue to attach the wide clothes peg onto the board to the right of the pen, so that the notes can be clamped underneath.
7. Drill holes on the back side for mounting.
8. Label the popsicle sticks with various dishes.
9. Optionally, insert a rosemary twig into the popsicle stick storage.
