Potato wedges with spiced yogurt

Recipe idea: Potato wedges with spiced yogurtYou will need the following ingredients:
600 g yogurt, 2 tsp + 6 tsp oil, 1 tsp black mustard seeds (Asian market), 1 tsp + 2 pinches ground turmeric, 2 pinches ground cumin, salt, pepper, chili powder (as desired), 1 kg waxy potatoes (alternatively, predominantly waxy potatoes), 2 onions, 2 tsp coarse sea salt, 4 tbsp sesame seeds, 2 small dried chili peppers

- Preheat oven to 200 °C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place the yogurt in a serving bowl. Heat 2 tsp oil in a small pan. Roast the mustard seeds until they pop, then add to the yogurt. Stir in 2 pinches turmeric and cumin, season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with some chili powder if desired and refrigerate.
- Scrub the potatoes under running water, pat dry and halve lengthwise. Cut into wedges about 1 cm thick lengthwise with the skin. Peel the onions and cut lengthwise into wedges.
- Combine 6 tsp oil with sea salt, sesame and 1 tsp turmeric in a bowl. Break off stems of the chili peppers, shake out seeds if desired and crumble the chilies into the oil. Thoroughly coat potato wedges with the seasoned oil and spread them on the baking paper together with the onion wedges. Bake in the hot oven (middle rack) for about 25 min. until golden brown, until potato wedges are crispy on the outside and soft inside. Serve the wedges with the spiced yogurt.
