Are you completely finished with your house or is there still much to do?
When we moved in at the end of last year, our kitchen wasn't yet installed and the walls still needed painting. Now, five months later, most things are done, but some furniture is still missing. Currently, we've planned the outdoor area and will soon start implementing it.

Your house is furnished so beautifully. Where do you get your inspiration from?
My husband is my biggest inspiration. He has exceptionally beautiful ideas and probably could have become an interior designer if he hadn't studied law.

How would you describe your house and furnishing style?
Our decor is simple, modern and comfortably warm.

Does your personality reflect your furnishing style?
Yes, I am a calm, organized and simple person while my husband is active and creative. Our interior combines these characteristics: plain white walls and a cozy atmosphere created through the wood vinyl flooring and Philips Hue lighting.

Does kitchen lighting play an important role for you?
Yes, lighting plays an important role. We have lighting at the kitchen island, base cabinets, wall cabinets and the roller shutter cabinet as well as a hanging lamp from Philips Hue. Depending on the mood, we adjust the lighting, sometimes warmer, sometimes cooler tones.

A bright countertop and bright fronts, why did you decide on a completely bright, simpler kitchen?
The Sahara kitchen from Nolte Küchen with its earth tones provides calmness, warmth and comfort. It embodies not only an aesthetic concept, but also a story of growth and groundedness.

What is the most important feature in your kitchen for you?
The most important thing is that the stove top is high enough so that my children cannot reach it. For my husband, the coffee machine would be the most important feature.

What are your three most important household tips?
1.   Regular tidying and cleaning.
2.   Effective organization using baskets and boxes to maintain order.
3.   Planning groceries and meals in advance.

On Instagram you say that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Why is that the case for you and what does kitchen life mean to you?
The kitchen is the heart of the home because it is far more than just a place to cook. Here we take care of our loved ones, expressing love and affection. For my husband and myself, cooking and baking are forms of relaxation. The kitchen promotes joy, creativity and togetherness, characterized by shared experiences, culinary discoveries and the deep enjoyment of being together.
