Cutting 13 cords × 60 cm
Step 1
Attach a piece of yarn (guide string) to the glass using a simple double knot. Attention: string and knot should remain loose.

Step 2
Attach the remaining cords to the guide cord using the anchor knot. To do this, form a piece of cord into a loop and pass it around the guide cord from the front to the back.

Step 3
Then thread the cord ends through the loop. Pull tight!

Step 4
Form a total of six anchor knot pairs, leaving approx. 3 cm of guiding cord free between each pair. Now open the guiding cord again and knot it tightly around the glass.

Step 5
For the square knot, pass the right cord under the two middle cords to the left, and the left cord over the middle cords to the right. Tighten well!

Step 6
Then guide the left cord under the two middle cords to the right and the right cord over the middle cords to the left. Tighten firmly!

Step 7
Repeat step 5.

Step 8
Repeat step 5.

Step 9
Repeat steps 5 to 8 with all anchor node pairs.

Step 10
Create another square knot approximately 2 cm below. Repeat step 5 for this.

Step 11
Repeat step 6.

Step 12
Tighten firmly! Form five additional offset square knots at the same height with the remaining cords.

Step 13
Tie below it a second row of single square knots.

Step 14
And subsequently a third row.

Step 15
Shorten the yarn ends slightly. Caution: Do not cut too short here yet.

Step 16
Unravel the cord ends, carefully comb them out and make the final cut.
