Garlic-Yoghurt Sauce – freshness & flavour for every grilled dish
This refreshing yoghurt-based sauce is a true all-rounder: whether with grilled vegetables, lamb, halloumi or as a dip – it brings Mediterranean flavour and lightness to the plate.
You’ll need the following ingredients for the sauce:
For around 2–3 servings, you’ll need:
- 200 g Greek yoghurt
- 1–2 garlic cloves (crushed or finely chopped)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper
- Fresh herbs of your choice (e.g. dill, parsley or chives)

It’s that simple:
- Put the yoghurt into a bowl and stir in the garlic, lemon juice and olive oil.
- Season with salt and pepper – to taste, either stronger or milder.
- For extra flavour and freshness, add freshly chopped herbs if desired.
- Ideally, let it rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving.
Tip: This sauce pairs especially well with hot grilled dishes as its cool, creamy flavour offers a wonderful contrast!
