Garlic-Yoghurt Sauce – freshness & flavour for every grilled dish

This refreshing yoghurt-based sauce is a true all-rounder: whether with grilled vegetables, lamb, halloumi or as a dip – it brings Mediterranean flavour and lightness to the plate.

You’ll need the following ingredients for the sauce:

For around 2–3 servings, you’ll need:

  • 200 g Greek yoghurt
  • 1–2 garlic cloves (crushed or finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper
  • Fresh herbs of your choice (e.g. dill, parsley or chives)

It’s that simple:

  1. Put the yoghurt into a bowl and stir in the garlic, lemon juice and olive oil.
  2. Season with salt and pepper – to taste, either stronger or milder.
  3. For extra flavour and freshness, add freshly chopped herbs if desired.
  4. Ideally, let it rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving.

Tip: This sauce pairs especially well with hot grilled dishes as its cool, creamy flavour offers a wonderful contrast!
